With the Porsche Cayenne 9PA, the Zuffenhausen company presented the first generation of their successful SUV in 2002. The manoeuvrable multi-purpose vehicle with a lot of pepper under the hood quickly found a large fan base. No wonder, since the Cayenne offers the optimal combination of driving pleasure and comfort. With its permanent all-wheel drive, dynamic inter-axle lock and air suspension, it proves its worth in the city and off-road. The interior shines with a high-quality leather interior and plenty of legroom. During development, Porsche made use of the experience of the entire Volkswagen Group and built the Cayenne on the platform of the VW Tourag and the Audi Q7. The result is the fastest SUV mass-produced from 2002 to 2010. In the standard version of the first series, the Porsche Cayenne 955, equipped with a VR6 engine, reaches a top speed of 214 km/h. The Porsche Cayenne 955 S, Turbo and Turbo S even reach up to 270 km/h with their V8 engines.

In 2007, Porsche thoroughly revised its successful model and presented the Porsche Cayenne 957. The new exterior stands out with an even more dynamic front and rear paneling, new headlights and LED taillights. New fenders, side skirts and rear spoiler give the Porsche Cayenne 957 a sporty, aggressive look. The reboot was also accompanied by an increase in performance: Porsche exchanged the old engines for direct injection, which should reduce fuel consumption by up to 15 percent. The V6 engine offers a whole 40 hp more power, the V8 engine of the Porsche Cayenne S brings 45 additional horsepower. The Cayenne Turbo shines with 500 hp and a top speed of 275 km/h. The fastest horse in the stable is the Cayenne Turbo S, which has 550 hp under the hood and can therefore reach speeds of up to 280 km/h. New to the Cayenne family from 2007 is the Porsche Cayenne GTS, equipped with a 4.8 liter naturally aspirated engine and an output of 405 hp; from 2009 there will also be a diesel model.
